My work is autobiographical and specifically investigates my perceptions of family members. The medium, format and technique for each series is dictated by the character of my relationship to the family member and the narrative of how their life affects mine.

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. It may seem like soup season is over. Spring has sprung pretty much everywhere by now. Sunshine and flowers not withstanding, the other day while cleaning the apartment, I found myself making a big pot of vegetable stock. Maybe it was nesting, maybe it was insanity - it was 80 degrees in Los Angeles. But it felt good to have something cooking while I worked. Once the stock has cooled, I put some in the fridge in an airtight jar for use during the week.

Sarah is a Beer Snob. Branchline Brewing gives up Old Boxcar name. Travis Poling writes that still-in-development brewery Old Boxcar brewing has become Branchline Brewing, after they received a cease-and-desist from Boxcar Brewing in Pennsylvania.
